Melugin received his degree in broadcast journalism from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. He is presently playing his role as a correspondent at the FOX News Network since he secured a position there in May 2021. He played a crucial role in breaking several stories, including revealing California Governor Gavin Newsom’s violation of COVID-19 guidelines while dining at the French Laundry restaurant.
His breaking news coverage at KTTV was also featured on various FNC programs, such as Tucker Carlson Tonight, The Ingraham Angle, and The Story. Prior to FNC, Melugin worked as an anchor and investigative reporter at WJYZ-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina, and as a fill-in anchor at KFOX-TV in El Paso, Texas.
