Martha MacCallum Career | Education

MacCallum received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from St. Lawrence University. Presently, Martha is the executive editor and anchor of The Story with Martha MacCallum, which airs on weekdays at 3 PM/ET. She is based in New York and began working for FOX News Channel in January 2004. Since the 2004 presidential election, MacCallum has been involved in every significant political event throughout her time with the network. From 1997 until 2003, Martha worked for NBC in a number of capacities before joining the network. She co-anchored CNBC’s Morning Call alongside Ted David and Martha MacCallum. In the 2016 election season, Martha co-anchored two Republican presidential primary debates in Des Moines, Iowa, and Cleveland, Ohio, with anchor Bill Hemmer. She has covered several State of the Union speeches and the 75th anniversary of D-Day, and early in her career, she was the main reporter on exit poll data and important voting trends as part of the network’s political team. Former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg, former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro, and senators Bernie Sanders, Amy Klobuchar, and Kirsten Gillibrand participated in a series of town hall meetings that Baier and MacCallum facilitated earlier in the election campaign. The pair’s virtual sit-down special with President Donald Trump from the Lincoln Memorial in May 2020 attracted close to 4 million viewers, while their town hall with former Democratic presidential candidate Sen.
