Shayna Seymour is an American Emmy Award-winning Journalist who co-anchors WCVB’s renowned nightly news magazine Chronicle. She began working at WCVB in 2006 and has held positions as a reporter, producer, and co-anchor of the newscast’s weekend EyeOpener. Shayna can also be seen covering for other anchors during the weekday evening newscasts.

Seymour graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Syracuse University with a Master of Science in Broadcast Journalism. She is currently performing her duties at the WCVB station serving as a co-anchor since she secured a position at the network in 2006. Since then, she has worked there as a reporter, producer, and co-anchor of the weekend EyeOpener broadcast. Shayna also fills in at the anchor desk for the weekday evening newscasts.

Seymour covers a broad variety of human interest, lifestyle, entertainment, and arts stories around New England and beyond in her role as co-anchor of the Chronicle. She developed her journalistic abilities by covering breaking news, education, and health problems at this ABC affiliate. In addition, she was WGGB’s co-host of the MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon. Seymour began her broadcasting career as an intern at Syracuse, New York’s WSTM-TV. She worked in the corporate world before that.
