Shayna Seymour is an American Emmy Award-winning Journalist who co-anchors WCVB’s renowned nightly news magazine Chronicle. She began working at WCVB in 2006 and has held positions as a reporter, producer, and co-anchor of the newscast’s weekend EyeOpener. Shayna can also be seen covering for other anchors during the weekday evening newscasts.
Shayna Seymour Career/Education
Seymour graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Syracuse University with a Master of Science in Broadcast Journalism. She is currently performing her duties at the WCVB station serving as a co-anchor since she secured a position at the network in 2006. Since then, she has worked there as a reporter, producer, and co-anchor of the weekend EyeOpener broadcast. Shayna also fills in at the anchor desk for the weekday evening newscasts.

She developed her journalistic abilities by covering breaking news, education, and health problems at this ABC affiliate. In addition, she was WGGB’s co-host of the MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon. Seymour began her broadcasting career as an intern at Syracuse, New York’s WSTM-TV. She worked in the corporate world before that.
