Zomorodi is an American reporter serving at FOX 5 as a Full-time Morning News Anchor, she joined the Station in October 2008 after working as a Host and Reporter for FOX 5.
Shally Zomorodi Career | Education
Zomorodi enrolled at California State University, Fullerton where she earned a BA, in Journalism and Political Science in 2001. She began working in 2001 at KTTV FOX 11 as a News Assistant until 2002. She left and joined KBMT Channel 12 as a reporter where she worked from 2002 to 2003. After working for KBMT, she worked for the Voice of America as a reporter and Video Journalist for three years and three months.
In September 2006, she joined OCKDOC-TV as an Anchor – DAYBREAK OC where she worked for two years and two months. Zomorodi then joined Cityview Channel 35 in 2005 as a Host and Reporter until 2009. She currently works for FOX 5 as a Full-time Morning News Anchor.
She wakes up every Monday to Friday at 2 a.m. to co-anchor the FOX 5 Morning News from 6 to 10 a.m. It is no big deal to her because she works with the most amazing people. For instance, Raoul and Chrissy make her day. She landed her first on-air Good Morning Southeast Texas job at the ABC affiliate in Beaumont.
Zomorodi earned the Miss Orange County USA title when she was competing for Miss California USA. Producers of KTTV FOX 11 in Los Angeles awarded her for journalism. She walked into so many studios in Los Angeles to get advice on how to start a career in broadcasting. She first served as an intern before getting a job as a news assistant for Good Day L.A. When free, she loves cooking, hanging out with family, and belly dancing.
