Erika Tarantal Biography
Erika Tarantal is an American Emmy Award-winning Journalist working at WCVB serving as an anchor and reporter since she joined the station in February 2014. Formerly, Tarantal worked at News 4 New York, NBC’s flagship station in New York City, as a Weekend Anchor.

Tarantal joined WCVB from News 4 New York, the flagship station of NBC in New York City, where she was a primary fill-in co-anchor for WNBC’s weekday morning newscast, “Today in New York,” and anchor of the weekend program. In December 2007, Erika began working as a general assignment reporter for News 4 New York. She began working as a general assignment reporter at Hartford, Connecticut’s WVIT-TV in October 2005, before coming to NBC4. Prior to this, Erika had risen through the ranks of News 12 in the Bronx, where she began her career as a general assignment reporter and was eventually elevated to anchor the morning program on weekdays. Furthermore, she worked as a production assistant at Boston’s WHDH-TV as well.
