Guy Rawlings is an American journalist serving at WVTM 13. Hearst Television as a News Anchor. He joined the station in December 2015, after working as a Sports Anchor and Reporter for CBS 11 KTVT/TXA.
Guy Rawlings Career | Education
After finishing high school, Rawlings enrolled at the University of Florida, where he pursued his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Telecommunication from 1986 to 1991.
Guy embarked on his professional journey as a photojournalist and reporter at WBFF TV from 1993 to 1994, where he served as a news photographer and sports reporter for the weekly sports show “Sports Unlimited.” Subsequently, he transitioned to WCBD-TV 2 as a weekend sports anchor and reporter from 1994 to 1996. He then joined WTVJ TV in December 1996 and remained there until December 2006, dedicating a decade to roles such as Weekend Sports Anchor. During his tenure, he seamlessly transitioned into live field reporting and anchoring, in addition to hosting a weekly high school sports show and a coach’s show for University of Miami football.
Following his tenure at WTVJ TV, Rawlings seamlessly transitioned to WESH TV in January 2007, assuming the role of primary sports anchor for evening newscasts. Additionally, he engaged in live field anchoring, reporting, and hosting sports specials. Later, he expanded his responsibilities by joining CBS Atlanta from January 2012 to January 2013. During his tenure here, he served as a news anchor and sports host. He also co-anchored the evening news at 5 and 11. Furthermore, he also led coverage of major sports events. Subsequently, in March 2013, he ventured into TheSportsJoc.com. This showcased his on-air talent as part of an internet radio show hosted by former NFL lineman Wayne Gandy until November 2013.
Guy transitioned to CBS 11 (KTVT/TXA) in November 2013. During his time here, he served as a sports anchor, reporter, and host until November 2015. Currently, he holds the position of news anchor at WVTM 13, a role he has been dedicated to since December 2015.
