Michelle McCormick Biography
Michelle McCormick is an American Weather Forecaster working at News4Jax serving as a Weekend Meteorologist since February 2024. She first joined the station in December 2023 as a Freelance Meteorologist. Formerly, McCormick worked at Millenium Physician Group as a Regional Marketing and Public Relations Manager. McCormick is a member of the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society.

McCormick holds a Master of Science in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University and is a proud alumnus of Western Colorado University, which used to be Western State College, in Gunnison, Colorado. After Michelle began working for News4Jax in December 2023, she gladly embraced the chance to become an official member of the Weather Authority team in February 2024, where she will be the weekend morning meteorologist. She is a member of both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.
Michelle, who had a love for aviation and was raised in Dallas, Texas, became a private pilot in the middle of the 1990s. She decided to combine her love of radio and flying by working as an airborne traffic reporter for both helicopters and airplanes after deciding she would never be an airline pilot. McCormick even covered the action from a helicopter at the 2005 Super Bowl in Jacksonville.
Michelle has served on boards and in a number of NGOs since relocating to Jacksonville Beach in 1998. Most recently, she served as president of the FBI Jacksonville Citizen’s Academy Alumni Association. She enjoys traveling to both warm and cold places, loud music, and mountains. She also enjoys spending her free time with her adult daughters and husband.
When Michelle is not anchoring the 5, 6, and 10 p.m. news, she contributes to her Hometown Heroes franchise by providing a weekly local veteran profile. Additionally, she shoots and edits a monthly report for the award-winning series, The Dish on Wisconsin Supper Clubs. Further, she has also launched two successful franchises for different news directors. One of them, “Street Cred,” which profiled various northeast Wisconsin communities, inspired similar franchises in other media outlets.
