Bautista, a first-generation college graduate, earned her Bachelor’s in Multimedia Journalism from Georgia State University in 2018. Originally from NYC, she moved to Atlanta in 2013 for her education. Additionally, being fluent in Spanish and Italian, Gladys was active in GSU’s Italian Club and pursued minors in Italian and political science. Furthermore, she also studied abroad in Venice in Fall 2015, focusing on global challenges. Subsequently, Gladys transitioned to become an anchor and reporter at KRCG in Jefferson City, Missouri, from November 2018 to January 2021.
Gladys transitioned to a role as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WLKY-TV CBS, where she was employed for 2 years. During her time in Louisville, she provided comprehensive coverage of significant events, such as the devastating tornadoes in Western Kentucky and the renowned Kentucky Derby.
