Brylee Brown Biography
Brylee Brown is an American journalist working for WVTM 13 where she serves as a Meteorologist. She joined the station in May 2023, after serving as a meteorologist in Columbus, Mississippi.
Brylee Brown Career | Education
Brown completed her high school diploma and later joined Mississippi State University in 2020. While there, she pursued a degree in geoscience and broadcast meteorology with a minor in communication. Subsequently, she also engaged in various activities and societies, such as the Delight Women’s Ministry and Day One Leadership Community. Additionally, she also engaged in the East Mississippi chapter of the NWA and AMS. Brylee successfully graduated from Mississippi State University in 2023.
While still attending school, Brylee embarked on her career, serving as a meteorologist on WCBI TV, providing weather forecasts to the residents of northeastern Mississippi and West Alabama. She later transitioned to Birmingham and joined WVTM 13 in May 2023 as a meteorologist, where she has been employed full-time since then.
Throughout her school years, Brown’s interest in weather heightened. Consequently, with encouragement from her family, she excitedly decided to pursue her dream of becoming an on-air meteorologist. In addition, when she’s not watching the radar or forecasting, Brylee enjoys gathering with family and friends. Additionally, she finds joy in vacationing at the beach, indulging in photography, and writing. She also cooks and explores new places. She also visits different schools teaching young children about meteorology, in 2023, she went to Henderson Ward with her crew and gathered with the 4th-grade science club. They taught the students about severe weather safety, meteorology, and forecasting.
On the other hand, WVTM-TV is proud to have received the WeatherRate Certified ‘Most Accurate Forecast’ for Central Alabama for ten consecutive years! A big thank you to Jason Simpson, Stephanie Walker, Taylor Sarallo, Brylee Faith Brown, Adrian Castellano, and their long-time friend and alumnus Jerry Tracey for their tireless efforts and long hours dedicated to keeping the people of Central Alabama informed and safe during severe weather.
