Jennie Montgomery is an American award-winning broadcast journalist serving at WJBF NewsChannel 6 as a co-anchor of the 4, 5, 6, and 11:00 p.m. newscasts. She joined the Station in 1995 but began working as an anchor in 1997.

Montgomery attended Guilford College in Greensboro, NC, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She works as a co-anchor at WJBF NewsChannel 6 every Monday to Friday and hosts a show known as Jennie every week concentrating on women’s issues, community events, and family. The show appears on the screen every Tuesday at 12:30, before NewsChannel 6 at Noon.

She began anchoring for the station in 1997 alongside Bob Young. In 1998, Bob called it quits and became a candidate in Augusta, and was replaced by Brad Means. Together, they have been entertaining viewers with the evening news for 25 years since August 2023.

Montgomery received two prestigious Edward R. Murrow Awards the first one was in the documentary “Mission to Nicaragua” for her series of reports on short-term medical mission trips to Central America. The second one was in 2016 in the documentary “Finding Birth Families,” for her reunion stories of siblings and a mother and daughter.
