Sierra Fox is an American Award-winning Journalist working at FOX 5 News, serving as an Anchor and Reporter since she joined the station in November 2020. Formerly, Fox worked at ABC 8News in Richmond, Virginia, as a reporter and fill-in anchor.
Sierra Fox Career/Education
Sierra earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies and two majors in business marketing and management from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina. During her first three years in college, Sierra played Division 1 lacrosse. Go Fighting Camels!
She was chosen Homecoming Queen her senior year, worked as a production assistant at ABC11 Eyewitness News, and won the Senior of the Year award in Broadcasting and Electronic Media. She has also completed an internship at Raleigh Television Network and WNCN, in addition to studying abroad in Sevilla, Spain.
Sierra is currently performing her duties at FOX 5 News Network as an anchor and reporter since she secured a position at the station in November 2020. Fox worked as the main nightside reporter for Richmond, Virginia’s ABC 8News, prior to moving to Washington, D.C.
She was a bureau reporter at WDVM, which used to be WHAG, in Winchester, Virginia, before that. In addition, she also worked as a New York City intern for Good Morning America. In addition to being a founding sister of Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority, Sierra is a member of the National Association of Hispanic and Black Journalists. Being in the capital of the country makes her very happy!
