Anthony Baglione earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Meteorology from Iowa State University in 2020. While still a student, he embarked on his professional journey with a weather internship at WISH-TV from June to August 2018.

Baglione’s immersion in meteorology began in August 2016 when he joined the “Cy’s Eyes on the Skies” Campus Weather Show at Iowa State University. There, he fulfilled various roles including air meteorologist, air anchor, floor director, and camera operator. Concurrently, he actively participated in the American Meteorological Society-Iowa State Chapter, enriching his involvement in meteorological discussions.

Further refining his skills, Baglione served as a weekend meteorologist at NEWS 7 KWWL for 11 months. He delivered weather forecasts, designed graphics, and contributed to severe weather coverage using WSI-MAX graphics technology.

Continuing his meteorological journey, Baglione joined WCTI TV 12 and FOX 8/14 as a meteorologist for two years. His duties included presenting weekend evening forecasts, stepping in as chief/morning meteorologist when required, and maintaining digital platforms with current weather information.

Since June 2022, Baglione has been an essential member of WRAL-TV’s meteorological team. He broadcasts weather forecasts to an audience exceeding 1 million viewers in a top 25 market. Baglione utilizes his expertise to create informative graphics with Baron Lynx software and delivers six weather updates per hour for a newly launched 24/7 streaming channel.

In recognition of his academic excellence, Baglione received the Iowa State Academic Excellence Scholarship in January 2016, highlighting his dedication to scholarly pursuits and exceptional academic achievements.
