Loftus studied at the University of Richmond from the year 2002 to the year 2006 and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She is currently performing her duties as a sports anchor and reporter since she became part of the network in January 2020.
Her three years in New Orleans were topped off by the spectacular season the LSU Tigers had, earning a National Championship and Joe Burrow taking home the Heisman Trophy. In addition, she covered the Saints, Pelicans, LSU, Tulane, and other sports in Crescent City.
Furthermore, she also covered everything from the ACC to NASCAR in Roanoke, Virginia, and Hagerstown, Maryland, prior to that. As a member of the 8 On Your Side team, Karen is overjoyed to have moved to Tampa and be a Sunshine State resident.
