Aaron Cantrell is an American News Personality working at FOX 59 News, serving as a Reporter since he joined the station in October 2018. Formerly, Cantrell worked at WHNT News 19 as a Reporter and Multimedia Journalist.
Aaron Cantrell Career/Education
Cantrell studied at Middle Tennessee State University from 2010 to 2014 and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. During that time, he worked as an intern for Nashville’s WTVF and as an anchor/reporter for his college station, MT10. Aaron is presently playing his role as a reporter for the FOX 59 News Network since he secured a position at the station in October of 2018.
He worked as a reporter and multimedia journalist for WHNT News 19 in Huntsville, Alabama, for two years prior to joining the team. Aaron was the leading crime reporter for WHNT in Huntsville. He also worked as a reporter and MMJ for a year in Monroe, Louisiana. In addition, he covered the historic ArkLaMiss flooding incident and Alton Sterling’s shooting in Baton Rouge while he was in Louisiana.
Reporting and storytelling are two of Aaron’s greatest passions. He enjoys sharing his story to aid families in healing and obtaining justice. Aaron feels appreciative. Over the years, hundreds of families have put their trust in him to tell the narrative of a loved one and he takes great pride in this honor. He’s delighted to be in Central Indiana and is looking forward to becoming a Hoosier, however, he’s still getting used to the snow.
