Regina studied at California State University, Fullerton, from the year 2017 to 2019 and received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media studies. She is currently playing her role as a reporter for the KFMB Stations which is an affiliate of CBS 8 News based in San Diego since she obtained employment at the station in February of 2022.

Among the topics covered in several of those tales were immigration-related farm labor, and the Salton Sea.
Yurrita received her big break when she was hired by CBS 8 as a reporter in San Diego after two years of providing public information in the desert. Her desire has always been to reside close to the stunning beaches in sunny San Diego. However, she wants to keep covering the unincorporated areas near the border, which is one of the main reasons she moved to San Diego to work as a local reporter.
