Devin Scillian is an American News Anchor and children’s author. In August 1995, he joined WDIV-TV as a reporter and moved into the anchor position in 1996 where he works to date. Before joining the station, he worked at WAND-TV in Topeka, Kansas.

Scillian went to Junction City, Kansas. and graduated with a High School Diploma. Then in 1985, Scillian graduated from the William Allen White School of Journalism at the University of Kansas, and he began his career at WIBW-TV in Topeka. Later on, he worked at WAND in Decatur, Illinois, KLTV in Texas then at KFOR, Oklahoma City.

Devin then joined WDIV-TV as a reporter in August 1995 and in 1996 moved into the anchor position. He covered the bombing at the Murrah Federal Building in 1995 and helped the station win a Peabody Award. Additionally, he was awarded the Edward R. Murrow Award three times, one of the highest honors in broadcast journalism. Besides his exemplary work at the station, he is the author of 15 children’s books and actually won a few awards including the Wanda Gag Award for the nation’s best “read-aloud” book. His other books include “Fibblestax,” “Cosmo’s Moon,” and “H Is For Honor.” He has his newest title, “Memoirs of a Hamster”. In addition, his book “A is for America” became a national bestseller.
